The Pentaquark is a tier 5 tank that upgrades from the Subverter and the Proton at level 60.
Design[]
The Pentaquark has a Basic turret in the middle, with five dark grey circles orbiting it. Each of the circles is identical to Proton's, there are just 5 of them now rather than 3. They are all spaced evenly around the ring.
Technical[]
The Basic turret has the same bullet stats as a regular basic, but the five circles will reflect any bullets that hit them, giving the player some defense. The player can shoot through them with no issue, forming a one-way defensive wall.

Strategy[]
As the Pentaquark[]
- Tanks that are of standard size or larger cannot directly ram into the Pentaquark. Unless they have a jump or the Pentaquark is moving towards them, it is impossible for them to move between the shields.
- Try to pick fights against tanks with larger sized bullets, as you will have a higher chance of deflecting those than that of a gunner class tank. or try hiding behind some obstacles for extra defense.
- You can "tame" some crashers for extra defense (letting large crashers target you and get caught in your ring), since enemies will have to shoot past them before they can hit you. You can also ram into enemies while you have "tamed" crashers, dealing their full contact damage to them while you receive none at all.
Against the Pentaquark[]
- Do not use any tanks that deal damage with a very large bullet or ram, as you will be unable to touch the Pentaquark.
- Try using Gunner branches due to their small bullets, and avoid Sniper and Pounder branches.
- Cruiser branch can easily slip through the shields and damage the tank. Sounder branch in particular can outrange the tank's mediocre fire and FoV for an easy kill.
History[]
The Pentaquark was added to Beta Tanks at an unknown date, before being publicly released on 6/01/2019. It has not received any changes since then.
Trivia[]
- Pentaquark and Penta Shield are both considered some of the most defensive tanks in the game. Coincidentally, they both use 5 of their respective shield type.
- For some reason, presumably a change to collision algorithms, this tank was practically invincible in Oxyrex so it was replaced with Hadron (Oxyrex).
